Our club in 2023
We started 2023 with new committee in place.
New 1st & 2nd team management teams were ratified, we are delighted to have Mick Murtagh & Sean Rouse leading the way this year as managers, two well known local men who have the heart of the club in their blood!
We had over 25 coaches & members take part in our foundation coaching & our safeguarding courses. We strive to build, improve & develop our coaching & training methods, from our under 5s upwards to senior level & the rewards from the hard work being put in on and off the field is starting to be seen by all.
ESI foods remain on as our main sponsor for 2023, we are so appreciative of Eddie & Sinead's generosity & support to the club over the years & to have them onboard this year is a win for Dunlavin Gaa club.
Our Juveniles have their own committee this year, a move which was important to show how important the juveniles are to the club & to furnish them with their own voice in the club.
So far this year, this juvenile sub committee have:
*Held a successful registration & information night for kids & parents.
*Ran supervised supporter buses to two Wicklow games.
*Secured sponsorship from Ken Clarke Electrical for jerseys for both under 7s & under 9s teams.
The juveniles are now playing in the Kildare league as well as the Wicklow league, more games equals more game time which is more experience & confidence for every child.
Our Walkway lights will be completed this year so in the Winter, all in the community will have a safe well lit space to walk in, we hope to run further walking challenges to encourage everyone to get out and about.
We held a planning & development meeting early in the year, inviting all in the community to come and offer their opinions on ways to improve & develop the club & help us set out a plan for the future of the club.
We continue to plan for the development & upgrading of our facilities, the benefits of which, will be for all in the club & community.
2023 & the future of Dunlavin Gaa is looking bright!
We are a small but mighty club & we will continue to build on all our hard work this year in all areas on and off the field!
